If we are aiming to hit number - let's start counting. My today's will be 46th if I counted right.
46 Done while listening to interview with Leonid Parfenov, famous journalist here in Russia. Somehow when I draw my mind needs something additional, it is not at full, so usually I listen to music or turn up the radio. I think to move towards audio-books so that the time would be spent most efficient. Edited by A.B. Lazer - 22 September 2009 at 5:45pm |

47 For today's piece I decided to try ManningKrull's walking animation tutorial. Walking animation is one of essential things that I need to master. |

Also it uses design of boots to add readability of animation, but I haven't include any boots to simplify process.

![]() # 14: biking in the city with the sun on my back, this afternoon (sorry, I stick to my numbers or I'll get lost!). 18 colors, ~15'. I'm lagging behind! Not much time to pixel these days, and that's used by my Pixou (done), and the challenge (just started). Good entries guys, esp. ska (that maze of yours has no path through!) and AB (good anims, and that little truck is just perfect!). |

@Manu - Is it a maze? Also, your street scenes keep getting better ^__^
@FrostedMayhem - The best kind of floating pink ice cream. Some for better (like colors), some for worse (overrendering which haven't done better for readability). Also I tried, and think that 32x32 is very tough medium to show multiple objects in a scene - maybe it is not possible to make object recognizable if list of it's features is longer that number of pixels that it takes on the canvas. The main thing is that to explore the medium and post the result. It is not main gallery, it is log of creativity. Edited by A.B. Lazer - 26 September 2009 at 12:47am |

Mostly lighting problems, like the left should be darker, and the right should be lighter, the eyes are shaped differently. The hole at the bottom doesn't look the same. Things like that. Your eyes can be a useful tool. |

#16: sunlight on sidewalk; #17: street view after sunset; #18: 'Eau & Gaz ŕ tous les étages'; see those little plaques everywhere. Respectively 11, 15 and 5 colors; 15', 15' and 10'. Am I experimenting? I'd say not really, although being new to this, I am in a way. But these are more exercises at seeing, memorizing and drawing. Experiment would be more about a specific technique, for instance, in rendering, light, aa, etc. Pixou is an experiment because everything in it is brand new to me, I had no idea where it would take me (and I'm not there yet!) |

:o You're really owning this thread.
This is based on a nearby ad for Hungry Jacks (Burger King). It uses Ptoing's random palette (from this activity over at Pixelation). ![]() Perhaps this is a subconscious message that eating at Hungry Jacks/Burger King is akin to using a toilet - well, at very least, the content of both their burgers and toilets are similar... :p edit: ~30 mins. # 22, 23, 24 I like most from the recent posts. Once I walked near railway station building and was stunned by amazing view of lifting crane against blue sky. You made me remember that sunny day.
Sorry, currently when I pixeling, I pixel for that cover (which is not contradicting 'pixel everyday' ideology). So when I'll finish it, I'll return to this thread. |

Thx AB! Contrary for me, I don't find the time/energy/motivation for large stuff, except some botched/unfinished attempts at challenges. So 32x32s are good to do!

That's all folks! (for now!) 10 colors, >30'. Well, that was a more interesting activity than I would have thought at first, thanks AB for suggesting it! It's a good looking/ memorizing/ drawing exercise, and also a useful outlet for some of those ideas that won't leave you in peace until you do them, and yet don't really deserve a more significant effort. I hope I'll go on, even without posting. Maybe try 48x48s. Edited by Manupix - 20 October 2009 at 1:03pm |
