Yesterday I uploaded two png with transparency made in Gimp(added alpha channel, and deleted white parts). In my browsers(Opera and IE) it was transparent, but still I had received this message:
REASON: Please make sure backgrounds are transparent or serve a purpose -- don't just post a white background unless it fits. If you need help making a background transparent please refer to the FAQ. Be careful with PNG transparency!(...)
I have just re-uploaded it in gif file. Why I can't use PNG files for challenges with transparency? Will my pics take part in challenge about controllers? |

Most browsers don't (yet) support .png transparency. It's better to stick with .gif and be safe :)

Thanks for reply, I will stick with gifs then. I hope there still chance that my submissions will be added to challenge poll.
