wings look huge. google reference of penguin. the body in general is quite small in relation to the head.
Personally I thought the first pose, where the bird was bending to drink or something, had the most potential- it just needed work. One problem you have is that you didn't start out with a clear idea of the anatomy of the creature you wished to make, so you had no "thesis" to guide your work. as such, the anatomy is rather abstracted. you should solidify your goal, perhaps even through sketches, if you want the best results. as it is it feels big and stiff, penguin wings are kinda stubby, but still pretty graceful and hinge at a few places. the poses are also a bit dull, the animals seem sullen and portray no strong emotion or attitude. |
