It's very washed-out. Try working some contrast into your image, starting with darkening your outline.
Anatomically speaking, I'm guessing you're not going for realistic? |

Your darkest color is only 54% luminance and there's only a little bit of it. Actually I just noticed there's one single pixel that's 47%. The vast majority of pixels are between 78% and 91%, so as said above it's very washed out. A larger range of dark colors would help a lot. It'll also help to use some of those darker colors throughout the skull instead of just the eyes and nose.
It looks like you're using pillow shading too. Try deciding where the light is coming from and put the highlights on that side. If you put highlights in the center of an area, like the center of the cheeks or the forehead, then people can't tell where the light is coming from and the object will look flat. |
