You're not being clear, are you really making a game, or a mockup? Otherwise i don't see any problems, but then again i'm not the one to ask, i do love the smoothness of the images, maybe squeeze a little more colors in there? It's great now, but bland, with a large canvas comes a large number of possibilities, you could add a little bit of a texture to it, maybe make the walls more rugged with cracks, and bumps. If your not going for a rough texture but a smooth one, try a shine from the light source or maybe very low light around the edges, i do like them, but some work could be done.

After seeing you create thread after thread after thread I acutally think your art has improved vastly. Your starting to get proportions right and your shading and textures are looking better too.
Just a couple of things i'd strongly advise working on one piece at a time, you have some nice stuff in this thread keep working on these things and where critisism is given dont give up and try ammending it. There is nothing more satisfying than improving your work until you have an end result that you're happy with. Also if you insist on continuously starting new art pieces keep them in one thread, your more likely to get replies as it angers people when they see the same member have 5 or more active threads. Maybe get a moderator to ammend this threads name to "Unhero's Art Dump" then you can keep everything neatly in one thread and show each artworks progression. On the whole you are improving well, maybe work on your english though ![]() Incase you've never heard of an art dump heres an example: ![]() Edited by Saint Minor - 25 May 2011 at 10:05am |

Marble doesn't have any jaggy lines, it's a clean surface.
Maybe add a dot here and there, but that's about all. |

I wouldn't say it's a 'clean' surface. Maybe some of the really nice marble used for fancy sculpture, but most marble has characteristic 'veins' that run through it and create swirl patterns (from which 'marble cake' gets its name). There are, of course, many different types of marble.
reference via google: ![]() perhaps the current texture is too uniform in value, and should vary in intensity. Edited by cure - 31 May 2011 at 12:03am |

Last version, on it perhaps I will finish, even if won't confirm, there are defects, and about them know, but has bothered to work over it as too many forces are spent...

I think it looks too "perfect", and a little bit generic. It would be a good idea for you to incorporate this advice. it appears that you already tried to do something like that in the bricks where I see some variation, but I would push it more than that if I were you.
If you don't want more variation in your bricks, you could incorporate more architectural elements. Think about what a real cafe exterior looks like. SHOW us that this is a cafe, don't TELL us it is by putting a sign on it. As it stands, the type of architecture you are using is bland and reminds me of sh*tty North-American architecture you see in strip malls and rest stops. Now, if that is intentional, and you are going for strip mall-looking architecture, that is great because you did an amazing job. Otherwise, I would put more work into the building. If you are going to draw quickly and inattentively, we are more likely to critique quickly and inattentively.
