Hi there, I'm no artist and I'm very new to pixel art.
I'm actually a c++ developer making a game and I'm in love with pixel art. Here's my attempt to make the combat screen at 800x600. The ships and space tile are not mine, I bought them here (http://graphicriver.net/item/space-shooter-objects/142231), I hope this is not a problem. I'm using DawnBringer 16 Color Palette and I'm using this pieces as inspiration: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/73406.htm http://kiwinuptuo.deviantart.com/art/Spellsword-Screenshots-282709314?q=gallery%3Akiwinuptuo%2F10610307&qo=7 I'm going to add more details later, like there's only two ship components being shown there. I know there's a lot to improve but at my limit here. Anyway, thanks for your time reading this.

The ships look nice, but I think the screen is unnecessarily large. Try reducing the size to about a 1/4th and it will look better.
