Everybody has to start somewhere. I'll cut to the chase and tell you these are really awful. The backgrounds are drab and do nothing to describe the location, and the pixel work looks like sprite edits from videogames?

also the jokes aren't funny, to the point that I'm not really sure if there is a joke or not. the text is too large for the images as well, and colors in general are too saturated (other than the grey background, which needs some saturation).

maybe post a few fully custom sprites or backgrounds so we have something focused to critique? Can't really tell what your pixelling level is.

Also find a torrent for some Scott McCloud books or something to help out with the comics/story-telling aspect.
