I've done Wisps sprite from the Wii version of Sonic Colors and wanted to know everyone's opinions on them. I'm not trying to make the prettiest PA, I want them to stay recognizable even from up close.

Credit to Sonicman98 for the Lazer Wisp that i took and recolored because I liked his design. All the others are mine.

I was hoping for some useful tips or suggestions.
Well I'll give you the single sprites in hope I get something this time.

I used google search as reference for them.

The coloring is weak and just kinda pillow shaded. Try recoloring while you focus on the forms. They should improve vastly if you do.

agreed with jalonso...
the sprites itself are quite nice and have a cute look to them but ur technique is a bit poor...
look up some tutorials (especially the one by cure in the ressources section of this forum ) to learn a thing or two about coloring and specific pixel art techniques
on this small of a scale it is very important how u place ur pixels and having only one in the wrong place can make a huge difference...
heres an edit where i was trying to control the pixels a bit better

Is that going in the right direction?

I want to keep the outline though.

@Onek It's no longer recognizable. You made it too fat and the colors contrasts too much.
