Hey everyone,
I'm about to embark on an overmp asset set, which will be on a square grid. I'm going to make the visuals fairly grid-like and representative(think mario 3/advance wars/to a lesser extent how the approach level topography in mario 3d world) but I'd still like to see about ways to "edge" and "round" masses to give it a slightly less boxy look. I's also like to avoid a crap ton of custom squares. Any leads? P.S. Thematically, this will be a vast, underground cave/cavern. |

what's an overmp asset set? you mean an environment tile set? Do you want different sets to blend on a tile or between tiles?
I think if you posted some reference images from games of what you're trying to accomplish it would clarify it, at least for me, so I/we might answer your questions more easily? This is the sort of tilesets I've made, but it sounds like you're doing top down. Atomic Alice |

I guess it's a typo of "Overmap asset set"?
