Sure thing.

Oh and keep in mind Sedicebisonte has a WIP for the roof that enlarges the house. Hence no difference in base heights of the house.

@Gecimen, I don't think that solves the issue,
Here's a more detailed description of what I mean.

either the start of the gable needs to go up by ~17px, the base of the wall on ground a needs to come down that far, or, if ground A and B are going to be the same height, then there will need to be a 17px ledge encompassing that whole plane before it touches the river.

Do you see what I mean?

Edit:
I guess another way to solve this would be like so:

Finished #67:

Needed to get a medieval mermaid in there somehow, hehe. Oh, and Melusine.

For the ones continuing the tower, here is how I imagine it continues:

Uhh I think you're just drawing the wrong line to the wrong place cjlm123. There is no level difference. I drew the wall according to that.

@Mirre: looking great :)

@Gecimen: Love the market tile. Great addition to make it feel like a city, and so fun to continue for someone else too!

@jeremy: Wow, the William Tell tile came out so good! I like how you have used space in it, and it's so easy to recognise the theme too. What a fun idea! That lake with reeds and lily pads is beautiful btw.

There is actually no reason to assume that the wall will be 17px high everywhere. The floor of the coutryard could be build ideally flat but also could not. But even if perfectly flat, the ground around the wall could be naturally sloped and can level with the courtyard from one side but be much lower from the other side. It can be 17px on the east and 0px on the west. There is no need for stairs. Just becasue it is isometric it doesn't mean that we have just all perfectly horizontal floors. We can have curves, hills and ramps. Just relax and enjoy the collab and let others enjoy it.

My initial assumption was that water A and water B were level, or water A was *lower* than water B as the river established so far was flowing toward that lower left direction.

with that single level plane in front of the building, the ledge/wall makes the whole ground plane on the left of the image 17 pixels higher than ground plane near water B.

which of course isn't a problem, but it's not immediately obvious (as there's more than one interpretation of what's going on with the height of the ground planes in different parts of the image)

At this point do we agree?

No need for slopes, we can assume the bridge has an Amsterdam-like water levelling system 😊

Yeah, someone might turn that bridge into a dam, or it just could be simply a viaduct over the road not bridge acros the river, and those waters doesn't end up being connected. And we haven't even started considering magic yet :P

More or less finished. Just need to tidy up the characters (especially the new chap on the roof whose head is in the tile above):

I should be able to do that on Wednesday. Ideally I want the guy at the top to be a bit podgy.

Here's the sketch of the building I've been working from. Hopefully the lines match up with Gecimen's (I don't have time to check right now) but defer to his since his is complete. This still might be handy for continuing the stained glass windows I've started in my tile:

@jeremy: really beautiful work. I love the bushes!

@cjlm123: that tower is gorgeous. Loving the texture of the walls.

@Gecimen: Love the character of the shopkeeper and the dog. I need to study your people more because I can't quite get my head round drawing them in iso.

@Christoballs: Loving the medieval bestiary that you're adding to this. Gives it a really authentic flavour.

@Reo: That tile is absolute fire. Really nice stuff.

Tile #45 is done

I couldn't decide if to go with part 1 or part 2, so went with ladies from both :)

I hope they are recognisable enough.

@SeDiceBisonte: Looks awesome! Don't be afraid to add more damage or imperfections to the roof for variety.

@gawrone: Diablo! Amazon and mercenary. :D You've outdone yourself again! Damn, I wish I'd have thought of that, hehe.

1000 points for Mirre. Actually the left gal supposed to be a Rogue from Diablo 1 but it counts because the mercenary in Diablo 2 is supposedly the same character - also a rogue with bow and looks exactly the same.

I will probably join your tower soon :)

EDIT
I understand and love that you gave us a medieval merperson so my question is: where are medieval elves?

I wasn't intending to cause any kind of drama, was just raising what I thought was a possible source of a difficult tile for someone further down the line if it wasn't addressed, but seems like the reigning ideology is to cross these bridges when we get to them (so to speak) and not worry too much - alright!

Anyway, here's a WIP of #24

I suppose I will add some kind of assassin on the roof, unless someone has a suggestion? (character driven ideas are definitely a weak point for me)

@SeDiceBisonte
I really love the little guy climbing on the roof.

I'm not super familiar with Garrett but when I think of him I think of a bow in his hand or back. Would it be easy to add one?

@Gecimen could I please claim tile #30?

Yeah the bow is a must :) Looks great. The armour and the posture are spot on. Maybe you could work on the hood shape a bit more? To make it more recognisable as on the cover of the original Thief The Dark Project - slightly bigger, and less tight, more loosy and cloaky-like. Right now the head reads more like a generic ninja.

But if you were aiming for the 2014 reboot it's fine too. Your shape would work much better then, but cover the face with a mask and leave only forehead + eyes part visible.

Oh and we're halfway done with the collab within 26 days. Needless to say that's a speed record We already began speaking about the theme of the next collab, don't hesitate to PM me your ideas (the only true limit is it needs to be doable in isometric and with a fixed scale).

@Mirre; you can only select a tile that borders with edge with finished tile, but not diagonally. Please, pick some other tile. 56,57,71 and 72 are free to claim around that place.

Did pixelated cloud finish their tile?

Pixelated Cloud and Something Fishy aren't getting back to me. I'll have to remove their reservations. You can claim #55.

@Pixelated Cloud and Something Fishy, if you every come back, you can either reclaim your old tile or if it's gone, you can fit the tile somewhere else, which would be equally easy.

Alright! I am done, at least for now. Will need some tiny assistance from Irena on the horn and some from Chris on the balcoy. Hope its alright!

@cjlm123: Lovely tile all around!

SeDiceBisonte: Came out great!

@gawrone: Great as always, love the skeleton.

@Mirre: Love all the old timey references!

@Reo: Thank you! I looove how your magical garden tile came out. Well worth the effort! There's so many fun little details like the owl and little eyes peeking out here and there. That tower roof is stunning too btw.

@Christoballs: That came out looking so cool! It's very funny, what a nice addition to the collab. :D

@gawrone: Willow? :) Looks great so far!

Yes, I confirm the Willow tile :)
This location was just perfect for a crow's cage like that.

I was thinking about adding Sorsha becasue everybody loves female warrior characters, even if she is not present in that scene. What do you think? Maybe she could try to join the snail fight with her awesome serrated blade?

@Mirre, not what I expected but it shure counts! XD

@Christoballs, crazy tile but fits soooooo good in the collab.

@cjlm123, what is your plan? I can make the right construction smae height as the left one if you need more space.

@gawrone, I want to finish off the left structure of the Mayan pyramid, and add some jungle behind.

Feel free to work as much into the bottom of the tile with your stuff as you like, I'm not planning on doing anything fancy in that area.

Please disregard if you have an idea for characters already, but that area would be perfect for some Lizardmen!

Long way to go here, but since the tile is so big I'm gonna try to cram several of my ideas into one swampy area. a structure inspired by Scola Tower, Ronja the Robber's daughter, some characters from Slavic myths and legends, passing along a viking funeral?

Oh and thanks everyone! <3

Seems like a poetic scene already. It's tough to make crowded tiles but they end up giving life to the area they are in.

Mini fun challenge: who will be the person to make the tile that connects all current tiles in the collab?

Looks like it'll be Gawrone :)

I really like when there's a lot of small details for the eye to dart around explore, I like to imagine the finished image like a game map you can walk around and explore.
