That looks awesome. I think the trees could use some more contrast.

The use of that brown as AA on the awning above the door doesn't really work. Everything else looks great.

Yep Blueberry - thanks. I plan when all spaces filled to make shadows as dark places over the trees because now change their position and I'm not shure what will happen :(
Thanks Jal - this keep my interest to finish piece :) ThereIsNoCure - right repair that problem - now is better ;) ... and more progress - haven't so funny scenes, but think for more :P

hmmm.... I would consider making the palm trunks in the grey colors instead of the brown so that it reads better. Maybe even mixing some greys with the lightest green colors.

yep Jal trunks in new area or if I put more trees or wooden elements near to wooden building will going very unreadable ... also I think what will happen if I add new 2 colours for green shadows /shadows are only with 2 colours/, because shadows will fill half area :( and instead sand and dried land the area going to green place :) Also can use these new colours to make some palm leafs in more yellow/brown like dried.
must test :) Edited by zi-double - 20 August 2008 at 12:43pm |

Add brown. now repair contrast of the trunks, but must try with diferent colours. Make repairs of the left parts of the columns from the shelter, over the roof and inside walls.
Also line between shadows and dried land with yellow now is better ? Think that problem is solved :) With elephant have problems! Make him 3 times /first time turn like rhino pff/ and again isn't good :( ![]() |

A question, zi-double: Before you begin the work, you make a sketch of all composition or you make the art direct in the pixel art? Depends the complexity of the work? Wonderful images, congratulations! |

for your 3rd project, why is some of the shadows on the sand green , some are brown? Is there a reason, why is the shadow of the tree green and the building green and brown?
![]() Also i think you might want to add foot prints, or slide marks where the people, animals have been walking and boy been sliding. The house looks nice, although it look hard to get in... is that step in the doorway? |

wow, great stuff. I love the roof on your newest building.
I have some spotted a problem with your previous piece though, I think it lacks unity. You can really see everything was placed separately on there, I believe adding a bit of extra shadows will fix this. I did a quick edit on the house and the croc: ![]() Here is a quick gif that might give a better example: ![]() |
