@Geciman thank you for the comment! I changed the crossbow a little, but I still like the gun more. The next version will see the gun's return.

Getting close to done, I think.

Thief: I like the gun, but too much junk? (yes, that's a bonsai tree among his stolen goods)

Rhino: not as detailed as the others, but I don't want to ruin him with over-pixeling/dithereing/whatnot. I like his expression and posture, and I like that he's a rhino!

Warrior: Might post some options for his armor color and shield position. Ideally I'd re-do his posture, but it's getting down to crunch time.

Mage: Should I add another demon in his spell? Is his suit too noisy? I want to give the impression that he's wearing some kind of dark, glittering body suit. Hope that comes across. Lose the staff?

@ The Cool, lol, funny comment. At least your guys have a personality. They're not without charm.

@ Adam, I like your style, though with the second guy (thief?) it's hard to determine his role. I assume the lady is a healer and the old man is the mage?

@ Kavvon I'm jealous of your spell effect. Also like the leaves on the...healer?

A little bit of shading and I think it's done. Cliched but I ended up going the wheel for the  caveman invention. Fire was too close to the wizard's magic. Jinkers I think my healer came out the worst. Magic healing bone and potion. I like the hair and the minikini. Fred the warrior looks pretty good with a better pose and some battle wounds... four on transparent bacground. 10 colours and less than the 200 by 200 pixel limit. Maybe they each deserve their own colour clothes and hair ...

So many great sprites so far, I don't have any hopes for placing even third. But I'll try anyway. =)

@failureboy: Mage's suit reads fine for me. About the Staff, maybe lose it, or maybe just shorten it. I feel like it's a bit long in comparison to his body.


This is what I've got so far, currently 16 colors. I intended to work with outlines but I guess the resolution I chose is to small for that, or I just don't know how to make it work. Also have a hard time making things look less flat. Any Tips on that or other stuff? Honest critique is appreciated.

@Sergio; the mage is cool :) I don't like the idea of adding a human. Not that you can't render it good but it doesn't fit somehow. I think a small chimpanzee thief would make this look like a family.

I chose Thief and.. she have the MJ's hat.. the Warrior, the enginner and the medic.
I begin a steampunk goblin for the inventor.

@Gecimen, yes, I agree with you. I think a Human pet is a cool idea, but it just doesnt fit, or I just can't make it fit

@newGuy, the first guy doesn't look like a warrior (no weapon). Perhaps that will change when you add two more characters.

@Cyangmou, your knight is great.

@Sergio, I always liked gibbons, but maybe a baboon thief would be best. With a headband!

Hey, would it be okay for the creature to be the inventor's creation? Such as a mecha or something?

Includes the inventor and the sketch for it's mecha, which, if the mods allow, will be my entry under the pet/creature category.
