Alright it's been almost a week, I have fired a gun, ammunition was 5 wooden bullets, but monday we get to use live ammo and actually fire at a target. If I nail it perfectly I could get 5 days vacation.

Actually here's more info of what I'm doing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_Defence_Forces#Military_Service

Oh and also I'm in the Mortar company.

Ok cya in a week when I get out for the weekend.

and greenraven. finland has a lot lower population count then the US. though probably less soldiers per capita too. US is a warmonger.

I'm not sure exactly how long Colossal Katamari took, but it had to be less than a month, since it was for Pixelation's Secret Santa and it was done in MS Paint too. 1/48th of the time and definitely heaps better.

I love Shadow of the Colossus :>

It runs surprisingly well, even at this resolution. The frame rate can be a little unstable, but it's no different when you play the game on a real PS2.

I'm using all my sketches from just the last 4 months (well actually sept-dec) to wallpaper a wall. Maybe by the time I finish the new semester I can do my whole room. woo... That video sucks something major though, wow.

I think I'm into girls with small dogs and weird hair and talk to themselves. Hi leel.

Blueberry_pie can you post what plugins you used with Pcsx2? Also are you playing from an original disc or image?

On second thought I think I'll just pop out my old tube tv and play with that. SD resolutions look like sh*t on the hdtv

I downloaded PCSX2 0.9.6 and used the included plugins:

(Also enable all speed hacks and set the cycle rate to x3)
I own the original disc (PAL version) and it works, but it seems to cause some occasional stuttering as well as longer load times. I turned the disc into an ISO file with ImgBurn and mounted it as a virtual drive, which works out well.
There are some graphical imperfections. For example, dynamic shadows are visible in mid-air instead of just on the ground, and some of the post-processing like the bloom and shadow figure effects appear offset to the left (which explains the dark edge on the right side of the screenshots). Nothing too bothersome, though. The game looks stunning and it's perfectly playable from start to finish.

e: Also tried to play Ico today but I couldn't get it to run :I Gonna try some more tomorrow.

Core 2 Duo E8400 (3 GHz), three gigs of RAM and a 1 GB GeForce 285 GTX. There's hardly any difference in performance between running the game at its native resolution and running it at 1920x1080 (2048x1536, actually), so I guess it relies very heavily on the CPU.

Also I think I got Ico to work, hooray :>

If it's running on an emulator, doesn't that mean all code has to be interpreted, and thus it all runs via the processor? By my knowledge this is the reason we can only emulate console games well after they're out, even though PC hardware is vastly superior to consoles.

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page.

I think someone should have done some research before copy/pasting a random image from the internet.

I just bought an Asus EEEpc 1001HA and I'm looking for some older games to play on it. So far I've got

Max Payne
Starcraft + Brood War
Sacrifice
Fallout
Thief The Dark Project
Black & White

recommendations

no Diablo II or BGII and of course I have necessary emulators including SNES, GBA, PSX, NeoGeo, N64.

-Torchlight. Should run, but try the demo first just in case.
-Older Tombraider games
-C&C Red Alert 1&2
-Older Need for Speed games
-Prince of Persia Sands of Time/Warrior Within will probably run
-Crysis
-Red Faction 1, decent graphics for then, and awesome destructability via GeoMod.
-LucasArts RPGs like Monkey Island(possible the remake?) and Full Throttle.

you might like having a mouse for some of those though.

This is pretty much what we look like when we're training for open-ground combat lol. The only exception would be that the snow is actually up your thighs height.

The guy on the right looks like he's sporting a 7.62 light machine-gun, but I've just been using my RK-95 7.62 just like the other two there.

The 'jacket' is a flak jacket and we usually wear it under the snow camo overalls. Don't know why they put it like that in teh pic.

Hey I just found out my dreamgirl moved to the other side of the country. From Facebook. Great huh. fml

Another completely cool thing is that I found a simple painting app for my Wiz called Waint. It's pretty cool but the default UI graphics are horrendous so I need to make my own when I have the time.

I'll just post the graphics here so anyone can try to re-make them or whatever

I put NES palette and grayscale in there
