I believe that as the first five tiles have been completed, all tiles must have at least one tile adjacent...

Here's #43! I enjoyed doing this very much.

Here it is with it's neighboring tiles. Mirre, I used your WIP as a base, if you change anything, I'm willing to conform.

edit: ONCE MORE. #21, please.

@Drazile Thanks! And I prefer my name spelt as "drain", not "Drain".

Anyways, wip with #21, Finlal's WIP didn't really have any detail for me to work on from. So I'll just leave the lower-right wing of the tile empty.

Gecimen, check Mirre's #59 tile. Is it in the wrong place? The tile and reservation number are different.

Mirre drew tile #43 (reserved by drain) but her reservation is #51 :/

E: nvm, Mirre is the pirahna plants

I like how the tubes/pipes/whatever they're called turned out. But I'm having a bit of trouble with the container's shading; I want to blend it nicely, and I don't know if I'm even doing it right. Also, I need to think of how the new floor will look like (without copying someone). Any tips on shading and floor ideas?

Whoa everyone posted so much yesterday. Very nice work, you guys!

@Reo: Haha whaaat 8D OK, that's just amazing. I can't wait to see yours now!!

@drain: Both of the tiles you've done bordering mine are great! I really like them. Very nice work there.
On tile #10 it was probably really hard to see, and that is my bad! But there's like a machine/box thing coming out of the wall on the left hand side, so it needs to extend out of the wall in your tile too. I've made a quick edit for you just to show that.

Also, feel free to add more details to it like buttons and levers and stuff. I really like the 'ALERT' sign, that's a very nice detail!
Regarding tile #43, I will definitely be changing things. But #51 won't be done until Reo's #59 is done so I can make it seamless on that side. So I guess we can just leave it like this for now? I think your tile is just great! Really nice transition between my tile and GhostPlayer's. Maybe the lips of my plant need to be continued in your tile a little. I like the eye you gave it. :)

@jeremy: A very nice tile yet again. :)

@MVegum: Looks good, nice job.

@jalonso: You really scared me there for a second, haha!

@Eggy: You have a very good start. Nice job with the tubes and the symbol there. I think the shading is looking pretty good actually! Maybe make the dark area a bit wider since the light is coming from above and to the right. There would also be a shade on the left hand side beside the container. For the floor you could always try to continue the white floor and gradually make it darker to help whoever picks #57? You also might want to come up with something that extends out of your tile a bit at the bottom so that bordering tiles get something to work with. :) Maybe some radioactive waste spill puddles or a mutant or something? Just some ideas.

More progress on tile #21. Does the water immediately read as water? If not, can someone give me tips to make it so.

Also, the fire hydrant looks like a dildo.

Thanks! I'll try out your ideas. In all honesty, I was actually considering mentioning that I want to add a hybrid monster that also intersects with a neighboring tile, but I ended up scrapping that from my post for some reason.

@Eggy, just because your tank is cooper and you are using those colors does not mean you can't hit other colors you wouldn't think would work to smooth and blend.
This palette goes much farther than it seems so experiment and play with it.
If the tank is made of copper then that material corrodes so adding blues, green, yellow and even the purple will work.

The reason the water may not be reading as water (maybe ice/snow. The sidewalk reads ice too.) is probably because we can't read its transparency. Change one of those blues to the purple so the 'road' comes thru. Maybe even a dash of green.

The ship is rather matte (ok, I suppose). Hit it with some blue and pink to highlight the metal?

Dildo... where?

A new WIP, featuring the Vitruvian Ork:

I've done a bit of texture on one of the planks under the lying ork. Is it worth it to do the same with the rest of the floor?

Maybe not Morbidus because it could make the orks hard to read. You could try tho.

Ending the floor planks where they meet transparency might be nice. You could even make irregular length planks to add some graphic elements.

How's this? The floor is still WIP, and I've decided to add that hybrid into the tile (though I'll start working on it once I'm done with everything else).

@drain: agreed with jal, also don't forget about reflections — puddles look blue 'cos they're reflecting the sky; they're more likely to actually be muddy brown in colour. And you could always try to reflect other things (e.g. the running scientist). Basically try simplify the shading I think, water's flat so you could try rim highlights instead? Also you're using pure #ffffff in places ;)

@darchangel: for future reference, an iso circle is just a half-height normal circle

@Mirre: thanks :)

darchangel nothing wrong with the way you colored and pixelled your tile so this is not a crit but a suggestion to help your overall pixelling.
The fake black color outlines could be polished a bit. You can use the dark/grey and even the brown to AA the outer line where it meets the light grey of the floor and since the darkest med blue is hardly used on the top metal part you could use the dark grey to soften the black and then bring the blue in which if you use the grey pink and lavender should help define that top better.

:'( I could not yet get stainless steel to be lit from below and it does look rainbow-ish. Even tho it is in fact a gay ladder I'll still be recoloring it once I get to the middle of my tile.

@Mirre I think if you just include a bit of the glass wall in yours it'll look like the plant is plucking the scientist from the inside of it.
