Try to look at my rats on the other side of the cart. Tried all my best to keep them in scale and not the size of cats from the castle, and the result is not great- kind of a compromise. Maybe you will get this right.

@cjlm123 I dig the idea of the road we already have going under the bridge. Maybe the considerable solution would be to break it after the first large arch - like it was so old that it collapsed in ruin? Than the wole bottom left part would still be open for many ideas people might have.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, the shadows were something I struggled with a bit so the advice will be super helpful. I will do a bit more work on my tile and update it. I'll keep all the edges the same though so people can work on surrounding tiles.

@Mirre I use Pixel Studio on my phone which is a Samsung, so I'd assume it would be available on a Smartpad. For a mobile app it actually has a lot of useful features. It also can read Aseprite files (if you use Aseprite), so you can keep layers and stuff. I pretty much use it whenever I'm not home.

Going good! Progress has slowed down a little but I think I got the foundations down. Now just need to detail and polish. Also for the upcoming weekend, there may not be much updating from me as I'm away for Easter this weekend, lol
Also putting down my own sort of dead tree. Gargamel's house in the cartoon seems to change a bit depending on the screenshot I'm looking at (e.g. there's a second chimney on the roof in another image I saw) and the tree isn't consistent xD

That brings me to another thing. One of must have is GOT. I don’t feel competent to draw a GOT tile and to even choose what scene or which characters should be portrayed (fan favourite Tyrion for sure). If anyone has an idea for a tile or even a mini collab, please let us know. The medieval/fantasy collab will not be complete without it.

@Sazdx I like the idea on the draft. The arch goes in the wrong direction. It should be two arched pigsty but with both arches on the same wall - going in left bottom direction. At least that’s what I intended by drawing the right and middle columns the same. But if you think this will be better or you need it smaller for your idea let me know and I will add few pixels to adapt the corner.


@Eggy, Gargamel’s palace is looking great. I also like the hanging roots. Can’t wait to see it in full glory.

If the bridge continues out into a straight road, it would be a good place to depict king Robert's caravan to Winterfell from the first book/season. Large ostentatious waggon and a vanvuard of knights, plus many well known characters.

Since Robin Hood is already in, in human form, I would vote for Tales from the Earthsea - it will cover 1) Ghibli, 2) fantasy novel series by one of my favourite authors, 3) fourth cartoon corner challenge :P

Hmm, I'm a bit stuck on #2. I'd like to give that up and try #3 instead. :) I'm able to pixel from here in the cottage though!
