Project name:
Tentatively named 'Angel's Earth'

Brief description:
I'm someone with industry experience. Part of the reason why I broke into the industry is precisely this project, starting about 7 years back. It was initially started with a very small team, and people have come and gone (which is not unlikely to happen on indie dev teams). No one left because they didn't like where this was going. As a matter of fact, most left because they got themselves jobs in the industry.

While it used to be considered a 'playing field' for us to learn from the actual process of making a game, it turns out the design for this game has been so carefully thought about that it's now actually worth making it.

The game was prototyped twice, received quite positive comments. We just didn't have the time or money to keep working on it.

4 years later, development starts anew with, hopefully, your help.

Target aim:
We are going commercial.
We have necessary licensing to ship onto x-box live channel and will also have a pc version.

Compensation:
Based on royalties. Contact me for details.

Main theme:
"What if in the passing from polytheism to monotheism, something really changed in the pantheon?"

One of the main theme of the game is about the concept of 'God' or 'gods'. What we believe to be gods, what they are, etc. Strangely enough, it doesn't touch 'angel vs demon' or 'heaven vs underworld' Holywood battles. It goes much deeper than that. There were gods BEFORE Christianity after all.

Technology:

Game Technology
- C#
- XNA
- Built-in LUA scripting

Infrastructure
- Tortoise SNV source-control
- Bugzilla bug tracking system

Talent needed:

*GUI Artist - We are looking for someone that can produce quality 2d art for a graphical user interface (menus and overlays). This position would include a lot of R&D as we are still attempting to fine tune the ergonomy of our systems.

*Pixel Artist - We are looking for someone that can produce tile pixel art. This person must be engaged in artistic discussions concerning the game, and is expected to proactively communicate with the team. We will favor people with long-term plans over those with a lot of punctual spare time because art is a hard thing to match between different styles, and changing artist often means scrapping everything that is currently done.

*Level & Game Designer // Artist - We are also looking for people with interesting level ideas. We want every level to feel unique, with its own gameplay, etc. If you have original ideas to make the game less repetitive and more engaging, please apply.

*Scenarist - We are looking for someone with a bit of experience with LUA and storyboarding who will be in charge of generating our in-game cutscene. This person will work closely with the dialoguist as well as the level designers in order to craft interesting and animated cutscenes (much akin to late snes JRPGs).

Team structure:

Active:
- Orymus - Game Designer / Producer
- Robert E. - Music Designer
- Artimus - Music Designer
- Robert O. - Writer
- Jonathan - Technology Architect (Lead Programmer)
- Cory - Programmer
- Silver - Programmer
- Richard - 2d Artist (Prototype)
- Midnight - 2d Artist (Characters/Sprites)
- Yanick - Website (formerly Artistic Director for Prototype 1)

Retired:
- Nubifier - Level Designer
- Blake - 2d Artist (Sprites)
- Javie - Interface/HUD designer
- Caveman - Writer
- J.M. - Designer
- Skiz - Audio
- Mike - QA
- Darrell - Tools Programmer (Editor Prototype v3)

Contacts:
PM me, and I will send you my email (I used to have the email here, but bots apparently sniffed it up...)

Previous Work by Team:

Day Job:
- Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands (Release: May 2010)
- (Everything else is currently under NDA at Ubisoft)

Team:
- Angel's Earth Prototype B (XNA)
- Angel's Earth Prototype A (Dark Basic)
- Space Marines (with Cman) (Game Maker)
- Anthelos 3 (RPGMAKER)
- Thorghast Nabot (OHRRPGCE: Standalone)
- Magnus 13 (OHRRPGCE: Magnus Sequel Contest Entry)

Feedback:
If anyone is interested, please contact me through Email (OrymusDONOTINCLUDE@gmail.com).
(Please remove the 'donotinclude' part, as I've been receiving way too much spam as of late)

For preferential reasons, do not contact me if you have no related experience I could judge from. Such experience does not necessarily need to be game related. For example, an artist could provide proof of comic book art, or anything that could prove his or her longterm determination rather than his or her skill level.

The following will not be replied to:
"I don't have my portfolio, I lost it during the last format of my HDD, but I'll have one up very quickly..."

PS: I'm not always that harsh I just know what a reality check is.
