I'm looking for an artist to help me pretty up my game Heroes of a Broken Land. 

This is a classic-style RPG in a similar play inspired by older CRPGs, like the older Might & Magic games.  The game is already playable, with an alpha demo available here: wingedpixel.com/heroes-or-a-broken-land (Company web site: wingedpixel.com)

What I need is a solid artist to help me bring this game to the next level graphically. I would prefer to work with people with a proven track record or at least a very solid portfolio. 

Due to the current state of the game you'll be able to quickly see your art released (I plan frequent in-progress released of the game as development progresses).  As as plus, this early in the project you'll have the potential to influence the overall art direction.

My key needs are:

• Full Screen (320x240) Backgrounds (for towns, special locations, menu, intro and end game screens)
• A number of monster sprites (med-size, 64x64, with a few frames of animation)
• Character portraits (40x40, but actually in layers/parts to make randomly generated characters) for a variety of races (humans, lizardmen, etc)
• Static town sprites (magic towers, weapons stores, etc)
  

Additionally there may be some UI work, world map tiles, and misc texture work.

I'm not neccessarily looking for a single artist for everything, as long as quality and consistency can be maintained.

My total art budget is not fixed yet - honestly, it depends on how well preorders go.
