Pixel Joint Forum: Revision? What reason?

   The PJ "system" seems to doubt I did this by hand.

Flattering, but silly.

This was done pixel by pixel, despite what some think. 

It
started with the orangeish color, outlining my face, and adding shadows
tweaking it slowly using the brush tool in PS. Then I made a new layer,
and went over it pixel by pixel...

Then just erased the brush layer, and added shadows and dither etc using the pencil tool.

It was originally 5 colors but changed it to 3 using the PS, which is the only thing that wasnt done by hand.

...and if I need to prove my painting skills, I can post other stuff I've done via PS.

	It does look like a color reduce to me.. random dithering, and out of place highlight pixels.. are all signs of color reduce.

	Post other stuff you've done via PS. You shouldn't be flattered, but realise your dithered techniques are random and messy. Edited by Larwick

	He asked for other examples of pixel art that you've done in PS. Not random sh*tty brush arts that you've done in PS.

	Wow very mature? And Im surprised by how offensive you guys get. First off I know how I did this, so I don't know why you are arguing, it started off like I said. With 5 colors, and then reduced to 3 using PS dither tool. Which is the reason for the random dithering. It's very easy to paint people (almost picture perfect) using even paint: http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/8146/paint4is.jpg As for my PS paintings, lets see you do better? For your information Mozilla was interested in purchasing the firefox painting, I kid you not. Of course you will argue and throw insults my way... But I dont care. I have removed the image from my gallery just to keep away from idiotic remarks like yours. Ill post 100% pixel by pixel art from now on, and you can judge my skill based on how good they are.

	Glow, i think you've been clearly mistaken as to what pixel art is. If you use a tool, which has different dithering patterns, and scribble it all over a canvas, that can't be called pixel art. That's Oekaki, i'm afraid. This site doesn't cater for Oekaki works at the moment. As for the 'insults'. When a member is refusing to accept their work isnt pixel art, and become patronising, it's hard for the dedicated members here not to get a little rowdy. Sorry if you've felt a little withdrawn by it all, but that's just the way it goes. It's not a good idea to try and pursue the argument, but still i must point out your hipocritical comment of us being immature, when you start saying things such as: *Originally posted by Glow* ...lets see you do better? 	its not that we dont like n00bs - when we say something against there "preicous work" that was done in 10 mins "and better than anything we could do" they always flip out. Normally resulting in the whole community mobbing them, normally led by me :P You cant expect to not recieve negative comments on something you did with a dither tool, we can spot something non-pixel a mile off. Getting angry at these comments is why people hate you. Revision? What reason? Because you didnt make this by hand - it aint pixel art it doesnt go in the gallery. Just a warning, dont even mention color reduction and dont get larey to us. This is our community, you can either fit in and be a part of it, and get along with us, or flame at us and then we exile you. the decision is yours..... [@ mods - lock this up] Edited by Shark
