ah ya...that's right I was gonna have another go at making pokemon...hmm I've come up with another idea too...so maybe I'll enter twice...although I don't know if I'll have the time...and I leave on the 27th...hmmm =(

Heres my lineart?

LOL, the only challenge I tried to enter was the Vista colors one. I joined when it had, like, two days left, so I thought I would be able to finish before the deadline. I got the basic thing down, but then the contest ended. I didn't really care, though, because it was fun. So I kept working on it even after the contest ended. LOL. It's about halfway finished now. I'm going to go work on it.

I want to do the fighting character challenge, making this piece above a ref for my fighting character... but is it an "original" character (as so called in the challenge)? (Because I made this piece after some anatomy lineart to give c&c for This piece by Marilii)

I wish you the best of luck metaru... thats a hell of a lot of work  but if you do make it, it would be an amazing feat of pixeling...

What will be different  comparing it with the Gaia's Vengeance piece?
- Shorter and (hopefully) more natural and detailed hair (despite the size).
- No branches on the arms, but long fingers.
- Shorter (and broken/torn) roots on the legs...

@Ails: Me thinks you forgot to get rid of the eye lashes when she closes her eyes, heh...

Ready to make the frames, I guess? But what do i want to animate on it...? The hair I think (cause it looks like its windy there)... so also the whip, maybe a leaf on the branch on her leg... and a bit of idle stance movement like movement?

Edit: First crappy try at animating the sprite... it needs more frames and diversity in movement... and maybe i needa tackle the body movement of the character first, before trying details?

Manxana, why does he make so huge images?

Retro remake: Ill search for the smallest screen possible.. sadly im not of the retro age, so its going to be hard to think of a game (probably one I dont know..)

Billie Jean ilumination: again huge!

Close encounters: I will remake my first finished non-iso pixel art..

Final animation... I have one problem... How do i get the BG transparent
(I cant get it done with Jasc animation shop 3... pasting in photoshop, making bg transparent and copying to animation shop doesnt work cause then the canvas will be small... too small)... Anyone who could tell me how to get the BG transparent or can someone do it for me?

Iaza makes the BG transparent, but it puts the old frames behind it, so it looks like one big blur at the last frame... But thanks for your help...

its easier than it looks:
Animation > Replace Colors > check the "all frames option" > select the BG color in the first box, and then select "transparence opacity" in the second one as the output. and that's all. the canvas will not change.

ah, and do not forget to set the palette(when you save the animation) to 256 when the optimizator appears. its right after the "customize" button.
