Hey guys, what's up.
So I'm trying to make a 64 colour palette, like the NES, but a bit more appealing and stylized, and using all 64 colours, kinda like the UFO50 palette. You know, funky colors and a modern touch I guess. I know I must put in the work to achieve this, but I don't even know where to start. How do you guys start making your palettes? Any tips or tutorials? Thank you in advance. |

I would start by making a lot of artwork that could possibly need this palette. Tweak and grow it as you're in the process of drawing! Or take a bunch of NES screenshots and tweak the palettes to make them more appealing and stylized? |

http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Games/Hacking/Wiki/index.php?title=NES_Palette if Derek's palette isn't to taste, I personally would just take this and run some Hue/Saturation/Value adjustments on it and see what comes out of it. But I suppose I'm less meticulous with such things.
