I have a question! When people are talking about "Bit Colours" what do they mean?

I have an idea but please tell me if i'm correct.

2Bit=2 Colours

4Bit=4 Colours

8Bit=8 Colours

16Bit=16 Colours

32Bit=32 Colours

Is that correct? If there are any sites explaining this issue could you please direct me to them!

Nope, that's not it... it's 2^bit. So for example, 8 bit would be 2^8=256 colours.

I think you're confusing the cpu specification of a system with a systems ability to display colours.
