Well, I got bored (Yet again) and as I was listning to "Still alive" in the back ground (The ending theme to Portal) I dissided to sprite yet another robot, (not a potato thing, XD) Naturaly, it resembels the turrets in the game portal. Yeah, um, so anyways, here it is:

(I tryed to make the red light from the core reflect onto the other serfece, please tell me if it worked! =D)

If it's a red light, The reflection needs to be red.

I also think it needs more solid colors. Right now it's way too light and you can barely define shapes.

I would love to edit.

? oh no no no, that's not a light source, it's just a cristal thing. I will make the scouter's palet darker though, thankies for the crit! ^-^

Ok, is this dark enough? :

what about that?

Is the red dithering on the white part what you meant?

i think at some parts is too dark but other than that the color choice is fine

The shooting one looks...odd, if that's what it's going to look like, just because it seems to perfectly resemble the flame(?) to make it go up.

I like the new colors better, personally.

or this is a too surrealistic robot, or it perhaps needs a more defined shape. because its natural desing implies that its "facing" rigth, but its shooting to the left.. so, in resume, perhaps making it more consistent and less random would be a good idea.

It looks less pillow-y, I believe. *isn't quite sure, though, so don't rely on my opinion too much* ^^;

I think you should get rid of the white outline a little past the top/middle of the red...bulb thing, but I'm really not sure. I've never attempted using a white shading...technique...thing.

The white on black bothers me, though. I think adding a shade of grey may help. And the black thing where the fire was to make it lift looks...weird, I think, because the light source is from your left...

x_X; That was probably not helpful at all.

Well... I like the white outline thing on the orby thing... and I don't think it ever looked pillowy... it's just that before, the lightsource was coming from the upper right. now, it's coming from the upper left. I know that the metalic black stuff looks wierd, but... am I supposed to change that if the metals actual color is black? Anyways, I've noticed that the shine on the orb thing is wrong now. (Since I never changed it from when the lightsource was coming from the right.) so I'll fix that up and change the outlining colors. (I left the outlining color dark in my last post because you guys wanted to know the shapes and stuff.) After that, if there is nothing els to fix up, I'll reshade the entire rest of the sheet. >_<;

If you going to do a walking animation, you probably have to rewise the design of the robot. the legs seems a bit stiff to be able to bend...

Yeah, I figure that this thing'll stay put for the most part to stand it's post and that... if it wants to move a lill' it can just jump.

It has no support for its feet! o_O We have feet for a reason! XD

That's the only thing that's bugging me. :3 It looks kinda like it'd fall...
Maybe refine your details, though. It's kind of hard to see them.

Yeah okk, I'll give it feet later. I know, it totally looks like it'd fall over, I thought it was KEWL lol, but yeah, I gottcha'

And I think I know what you meen about the not being able to see the detils part. The ground (First of all, is to high XD) and is also a color that is WAY to close to one of the colors used to shade the *Hehemm* "Legs"

Furthermore, I have noticed that I needed to add some minnor outlining changes to my first scouter type.

They're both fixed now though, correct? :/

Look good to me. ;D

And it does look cool. :P It just bothers me because I'm weird that way. XD
Are the black "legs" the only things that are moving/changing for it to walk?

These look really nice. I don't like the dithering however. Most of the time when you have moving sprites dithering just doesn't work. They remind me of something I would shoot in a horizontal shmup.

Okk, well I think I've fixed proplem number one. (Not enough parts moving)

As for the second problem, I don't really think it/he/she needs feet, plus, I can't make a vary good foot design.

@Pixel_Outlaw: Now that you mention it. that does look slightly odd... but I don't really think that there is much I can do about it being as I closed the paint window so I lost my color pallet, and to get rid of the dithering I would need another shade of that perticular blueish color.

*Thinks of a way to explain next what she's going to say* ... Okay! Think of the legs (just the black part) as a pendulum. Now, look at the second from the left sprite. If the top of the leg looks like it moved... Uhm. Basically, move the whole things back rather than forward, I think

Did that make sense? D:
