About the Project
 
I'm currently working with a small development team to make an arcade-style shoot-em-up called Skyblade, inspired by classics such as Giga Wing, Raiden, and Donpachi, with a few twists of my own. The gameplay is meant to be simple and easy to learn, while still staying fun and addictive.

Controls are as follows:
Arrow Keys: Move
X: Fires main gun
Z: Fires heavy gun
Spacebar: Uses emergency weapon / Scrolls mission briefing dialouge
Enter: Skips cutscenes

Development Team
 
This is an independent project. While I have personally made many games and thus have a lot of experience, I did not consider my older projects suitable for release.

What We Need
 
We need someone to make 2-dimensional enemies, backgrounds, and character profiles. We need 64x64 front-view profiles for ten different characters, each with three different facial expressions, making a total of 30 64x64 profiles. If this is too much work for free, then a single profile for each character will do. I estimate that I will need a total of about 16 enemy sprites (Plus 8 bosses) and 16 background sprites. I will be making the simpler graphics myself, and will be able to provide rough copies of what the enemies will look like.
