I see what peyton's saying, it does sort of look like a bear or some other creature. The chest should probably be facing either right or left, considering this frontal view doesn't read like a chest at all. Also, it's pretty small, I would make it bigger. Black/white/grey doesn't really work with this either, I get that it's for a challenge, but you can try to make a version of this with actual colours.
