I think this is a very cute and clever non-traditional walk cycle for a plant.  It definately works and appears the plant is moving by growing and seperating through its roots.

It looks  neat but I am confused as to why this piece is submitted with the weekly challenge.  definately not a 64 x 64 and definately not a sprite or a sentient tree monster being.

I fogot to mark weekly challenge last time I submitted this piece so I deleted old one and re-submitted

Ha I think i checked the setting to let others use as an avatar, so you should be able to if you really wanted.  But, I have a long way to go to get to your skill level.  Thank you for taking the time to look and comment on my piece. Learning pixel art is challenging but I really enjoy it.  

The theme of clefables shadow being gengar was illustrated in a very cool way here.  This is a neat entry.
 

Thank you for your feedback.  I really do appreciate the critique.  My water tiles really do stick out and distract the eyes now that you mention it.  I wasnt really sure what to do for the small file when I was submitting it, so I just used the grass tile because it was small enough to fit.  What do people usually do to make another image for the preview?  I am not used to working with larger images.  And I havent worked much with tiles either. yea I didnt really make any transition tiles other than the road so thats where the boring squares with no shore or transition comes from.  Time was a large part of they lack of variety in tiles, since I was trying to finish the piece to be submitted on time, and I am pretty nooby and take a long time.  Since I didnt make the challenge anyway, maybe I will polish with your advice and make a more complete tile set whenI have some time.

I like it its a cool design. I didnt really notice or think it looked bad but nagapon uploaded an image with and without pupils side by side, and I agree it looks alot better with the pupils.

Ha ha yea man I hope you do make a game out of it.  I think it looks really cool.  That's really great that you can do such good art and program too.  I hope to get there one day but I have a lot of learning to do in both art and programming,but I'd like to make some games I'm proud of one day.

Wow I think this one is really cool.  It reminds me of like a mario overworld map in function, but instead of the happy environment, it conveys an apocolyptic environment that I would love to explore in a game.

I understand how you feel and agree it can be frustrating trying to learn the skill.  I find pixel art to be very challenging personally, as I consider art in general to be unnatural for me.  It would be nice to have a personal tutor analyze and explain everything in a way you can understand.  But remember that their are so many talented artist on here that are capable of nitpicking every piece to perfection.  The time they spend looking at others art and critiquing is a essentially a favor.  Do not get discouraged by their advice but analyze the parts that you understand and can fix, and ask for clarification on parts you don't understand.  Do not expect every piece to be perfect, but the closest to perfect that your current skills can offer.  Then make the changes from critique in order to bring it closer to perfection.  Remember the reasons why you make changes in the critique and apply it to future pieces and through lots of practice you will get much better.  

Hope this helped, from perspective of a newbie artist.  I am definitely not one of the talented artists on here that I mentioned, but I do want to get better lol.
