We have a rule here at PJ that only finished work can be accepted into the gallery. Wip stuff is not allowed. If you want to get more feedback for your work, and upload your wip stuff, I suggest you join us on our Discord channel. It's common there for members to ask for help and opinions from other members, we even have a separate gamedev channel just for similar cases: https://discord.gg/GczvVRp7F

Okay, I see you are already a member there. Ignore the previous link then. You can ask there for more feedback.

Regarding your scene, have you considered visually separating the sky from the sea by going towards more turquoise colors for the sky and more bluish shades for the sea?

Really nicely done! It's good that you've started to visually separate the characters and objects from the softer background.

My only complaint is that you went for a dirty greenish dark color on the edge of the horizon and along the edge of the island. I feel like a cleaner blue, even a little towards purple would be a better choice.

Also, maybe a bit more comic book-like white clouds would be a better choice for this scene, with also more bluish transitions rather than dark turquoise. I think they would "lift" the scene a lot.

I hope you'll divide it all up nicely into parallaxes for the game, of course?!

Anyhow, good luck with this project, it looks promising!

Welkome to PJ! You made some nice piece, but your preview icon is not related to it. Please correct this issue so your work can be accepted into our gallery.

The same problem as in the previous one which I warned about: please upload the preview icon as a clean pixel art. This one is also blurry and as such it is not pixel art, but it should be.

Looks really beautiful and promissing... Welcome to PJ! One more thing though... the preview image should also be a pixel art. This one is blurry.

The image is cute, but suffers from one serious violation in pixel art. In pixel graphics, these kinds of spikes  (protruding corners/steps if you don't understand what I'm talking about) are not very popular, and they are usually avoided by any cost, and are considered as rookie mistakes. As you reduce or enlarge your images in the future and get results like this, it would be advisable to fix those steps. This time we will approve it, but please try to learn more about pixel art and its rules, what makes it pixel art and what doesn't. You're on the right track, you just need to know a little more about the rules of "the game".

Welcome to PJ! Just one caveat.. the preview image must also be pixel graphic. While reducing the original image, make sure to do it using the Nearest Neigbor algorithm so that the image is not blurry. Also for the preview image you can always cut out just some interesting part from the original. As is now it can't be accepted into the gallery. This warning also applies to your second piece.

Irenaart @ 4/21/2026 01:04 commented on Orca

Welcome to PJ! It's a very cute piece, but can you please upload it in its original size (1x1px, pre-zoomed images are not allowed in our gallery). No need for creating a new image, just use an edit button below the image for that purpose.

Welcome to PJ! This piece is quite lovely, but it has 98 unique colors which is way to much for this simple piece. It looks like it has maybe 16 colors. Can you try to lower it down to some more normal level so it can be accepted into the gallery.

user
Irenaart @ 4/4/2026 05:12 commented on alien miku

Welcome to PJ! Although it's very cute, this piece has 114 unique colors which is far to much for such a simple colored and small piece. Also, please upload it in its origial size. Correct this 2 things and it will be accepted into the gallery.
