Still a WIP, for the weekly challenge

le paon & le lion translates to "the peacock and the lion"

The ref board Im using for this one. Main picture

The main character pic ref was actually bought from https://www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com, model is named Whun Chu. I initially had that pic sitting on my ref folder waiting for a personal study, but well.

Also watched this nice vid from Aaron Blaise on how to draw Lions : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIMEum4lum0

And yeah, I found out that youtube's was now filled with AI generated animals documentaries, so yeh... Fuck AI..

the composition is really nice! the way the peacock's tail ends as sunflowers is an interesting surreal detail (and then the peacock feather shapes is around the ring, definitely intriguing to me)

This looks insane! I really love the use of the color pallet, and how you portrayed the animals! My favorite one is the lion!

Amazing job, and for sure one of the strongest submission of the challenge!
