PSP release date

Sony has finally announced March 24th as the release date for the $250 Sony PSP. The PlayStation Portable will be able to play games with advanced graphics, play music and videos, play certain movies (PSP exclusive) like FF:Advent Children, and more. Even though I am pro-Nintendo and anti-Sony, I can safely say that the PSP is delicious. I really hope that the DS can come out with some better games before the PSP's release.

I got a DS for christmas. So no way will my mom allow me to get this. Seems a bit ungrateful to do so anyways.

It can play Movies, Music, Ebooks, and NES games.
It can also multitask (listen to music while reading ebook). big smile

With the media player attachment GBA SP seems more desirable to me.

Nintendo will release a media player for the GBASP and DS soon. It will play MP3's and MPEG's (?). Which is cool, given that the DS has stereo sound and allows speakers and headphones to plug into it, but it's basically a way of saying "We can do it too!" to Sony. The GBA had the Movie Player or whatever it was called, played Fairly Odd Parents and Pokemon, so this isn't something new.

I'm sick of Sony constantly trying to shove proprietary formats down our throats. It plays movies, but your DVD collection and all your home videos won't play on it. Who is going to buy movies that will only play on one device? I don't get it at all.
