I stumbled on this little gem and thought I would share it with you guys, seeing as we are all pretty rooted to the world of 8 or 16-bit in our own way,

The animation is poor, the artwork, at best questionable, the script corny, but the sentiment is spot on.
Games and machines may well have moved on, but somewhere along the line gameplay became less important than cool 3D graphics, movie style plots and bloodthirsty action for the sake of making a quick buck.
Some would argue that the games have grown up with the gamers who played them when they were children, but sometimes it's good to dispense of all the intensity of modern games and get down to some harmless 8-bit style fun!!
I wear my '1up shroom' T-shirt with pride................."Viv la revolution!!"
Right I'm off to play SMB3 or maybe Ice climber...........no wait Gargoyles quest 2!!
