News Details

This one will make your brain hurt. Scientists make light travel so fast it actually goes backwards. Think of the military applications!

Wait.. so the light reached the end before it started? Aint that time travel..

Maybe they made light go forward for the first time... it was just driving in reverse all that time. Most cars go slower in reverse... doesn't make sense? ok...
But yes, it's quite interesting.

Heard news... Scientsist have done all kind of interesting things with light. The only problem is, that it is not the natural light that has been manipulated, I mean, if the light enters to the substance, its not the same light that exits from the substance, light particles (?quarks?) are replaced in the atoms. This causes the actual light travelling event to slow down, but light particles themselves still run at the same speed as always. Its the particles replacement process that takes time.

But this article really makes people scratch theyr heads. How can back point of light travel faster than the first point of light? Maybe the first light point is slowed down in the substance and there is no more room to slow down the back-peak of light. Pff, quantrum physics?
