News Details
The rumor's have it! The next Batman movie, entitled The Dark Knight, will begin production in 2007 and will feature none other than Heath Leger as The Joker. Returning will be Christian Bale as Bruce/Batman and Christopher Nolan is once again set to direct.

Nah, Clive Owen would make a better Two Face, Heath Ledger as Joker might actually work, the casting job in Batman Begins was awesome, so i trust their judgement.

Curious about the title. Is it just 'The Dark Knight' or 'Batman - The Dark Knight'. Cos there's gotta be some people that don't know that's one of his 'nicknames' (though it's often 'Dark Knight Detective' as well)...Notice all the 'gay' jokes already starting, complaining you can't have a 'gay cowboy' play the Joker... and stuff like 'Jokeback Mountain'. Despite the fact it's stupid reason there have actually been various stories that have hinted about the Joker's sexuality, sometimes hinting at homosexuality and other times that he's asexual and perhaps now incapable of love or lust (perhaps due to the accident that caused his transformation). Poor Harley... demented bint.

I also heard about the making of a new Batman movie today on the news. They also said that Penguin might come out. Is that true?

How about Clive Owen? That guy plays a perfect creep (see Closer).
I have faith in Nolan... Memento, Insomnia and Batman Begins were all thrilling movies.

Heath Ledger?...There are so many other better choices out there. Oh well, I agree with Wolverine on this one, and hope that the direction takes off well as it's predecessor did, "Batman Begins"...In my opinion, I would have chosen Jude Law to be the next Joker. He just has that wierd happy face that would perfect for the character...

I ain't a fan of Ledger but judging by the first movie alone I got enough faith that Nolan and his crew know what they're doing. Maybe we can finally get a more true to the comics live action Joker... Jack Nicholson was fine but he was more Jack Nicholson than he was Joker in my opinion.
