Monkey 4 was funny, although it was a terrible way to carry on the legendary name. What was that girl... Her name was Britney and she said her dream was to become a singer and dancer and have back up dancers and she wanted to become famous, but she couldn't do either! Obviously talking about Britney Spears. I rofl'd.
I agree, though, Mario's not funny unless you count the Mario RPGs.
Oh yeah I didn't count Monkey Island 4 on PS2 mainly cos I felt the game (PC version too) was one of Lucasarts' weakest and not a patch on the previous three 'Monkey's'. Bit confused by a couple of the options on there too. Are the Mario games supposed to be funny? I've played a hell of a lot of them (including the painfully mediocre New Super Mario Bros) and can't say I've ever found any of them funny, more just silly at times.
Timesplitters Future Perfect for me. It's pretty much the only intentionally funny game, bar the Lucasarts games that actually made me laugh quite a few times. Usually it's unexpected ludicrous situations that happen in some games (usually in multiplayer) that have me laughing, most of them usually to do with creating wrestlers in the Smackdown that look like certain people and characters...

The Monkey Island games were indeed incredibly funny... most of LucasArts' adventure games, for that matter. Still... does Monkey Island qualify as a console game? Only part 4 appeared on a console (PS2).
I thought Abe's Oddyssey and Exoddus were amusing... just not quite laugh-out-loud funny.
