porn means less entering into the digital distribution generation. a significant portion of the porn industries cash comes from the internet...a portion that will continue to increase as download speeds go up while cost goes down.I have a hard time believing porn will dictate victorious formats as they did in the past becuase it wholly ignores the alternate method of acquiring it. When in the VHS era your only choice for porn flicks was VHS, in this era you can download them in 10mins without being the perv in the trenchcoat seen entering the porn shop.
With the hardware and content support for blu-ray, don't expect the lack of porn to destroy it.

screwed by porn ... oh the irony!I hope BluRay fails for the simple fact that I bought into the HD-DVD format (for several technical reasons but mostly because BluRay was sony) and already have the player and about 30 movies. I was waiting to hear news like this.

There's no doubt about it... porn is a big part of any video format. Why Sony doesn't just shrug it off as part of the real world is really confusing.
