Portal - The Flash version

News Details

Can't afford the Orange box?  That's ok.  You can play the Flash version of Portal for free - and it's just as good as the original!  It even saves your progress.  Check it out!

Game Description:  Fire once to open up a portal and again at the location you want to reach. Walk through one portal and you'll come out the 2nd. Use that to escape each room etc. This is the flash version of the Valve game portal.

It is very nice, don't get me wrong, but to me it just proves that what makes Valve's Portal so great and memorable is not because of the gimmick of the portal gun, but because of the polish, the learning curve, and the writing.  Don't forget, Prey had portals too :P

To sum up: inclusion of portals does not a great game make.  But the flash version is still pretty fun!

I found that quite bland and not exciting.

Hack'd (Level 1 Rookie) at 10/18/2007 11:39:24 AM
The team that made Narbacular Drop was employed by Valve. Iit was the same group of people.

says who? as far as i'm concerned, the portal gun was in one of their other games and they expanded upon the idea. I think you're just stating your opinion and not actual facts.

You may not know but Portal is the successor of a freeware game...
