The Walls Have Ears...

News Details

... Literally!
Adarias the winner of the Food Warriors challenges you to create a monster of sorts using a household object as the main inspiration.  Try to think of something original (the killer vaccum has been done guys :P) and pick something totally out there (but still found in many houses).

    Size: 64x64 - 96x96
    Animation: Yus! (4 frame minimum)
Transparency: If you can make a square canvas into a fluidly animated sprite WITHOUT transparency, you deserve to win hands down!  Otherwise, it's a must.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

oh, i found it. darn! i'd never heard of that one.

is it the similarity, or the necessary animation that kept people away?

ThereIsNoCure (Level 11 Godfather) at 1/31/2008 7:46:15 AM
Similar concept, but the flexibility of the more ambiguous term "monster" and the animation rule set the challenges apart.

here in Florida household animals are cockroaches :p

Adarias (Level 7 Colonel) at 1/30/2008 7:12:00 AM
color limit is self-policing in animation, so i wont add rules

what's household animals?

FrankieSmileShow (Level 6 Manager) at 1/30/2008 5:33:37 AM

Larwick (Level 7 Colonel) at 1/29/2008 5:23:24 AM

Reminds me of all those japanese folk monsters that originate from neglected household objects.

100% original guys. Notice this is an animation challenge too.

BlackDragon (Level 9 Major General) at 1/28/2008 1:56:01 PM
Adam, from my understanding challenge entries must be completely original and not submitted previously

AdamPlays (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/28/2008 1:26:32 PM
Can I update and animate my Stapler?

Lollige (Level 9 Necrophiliac) at 1/28/2008 12:16:37 PM
Somehow I had your entry in mind when the spatula monster was named.. but I had a combination of the spatula thing and your toaster in mind XD (spatula instead of toaster, the rest your spider).

Varock Shade (Level 7 Underboss) at 1/28/2008 10:20:45 AM
Yep... It IS household animals xD anyway... I liked that one... And ISTvan's entry of the spatula monster could almost be resubmitted for this... But it was cool to do that challenge, so why not just redo the challenge...? ^^

Ooooh, sounds like a fun challenge, i'll definitively join this one

HoofFoot (Level 6 Hitman) at 1/28/2008 6:02:53 AM
How about color limit?

Lollige (Level 9 Necrophiliac) at 1/28/2008 4:04:51 AM
looks alot like the household animals challenge.
But sounds great anyway, this size can never go wrong..

inkspot (Level 4 Button Man) at 1/28/2008 3:53:24 AM
