I love the style and I especially love the texture they put over pixels.. who'd thought that would look so cool.. totally inspired me to do some more style experiments (which wont end up on PJ of course because of their NPAness)

I experimented with a very similar pixelling style, although to quite a different effect. Might post it here sometime.
btw, his concept art reminds me of Tocky's style
