not really an entry, just more of a direction i would go towards if i were to participate.
gross-kinda stuff like insects, maggots, broken teeth, wads and such are prolly the scariest of all. give it a close-up perspective and you can really scare the shit out of somebody.
arachne should try!
I like palette challenges, sadly there is no time for this one. When i think about it, this could cause a heart attack!
Yes, any size as long as no side is bigger than 200 pixels, and any number of colors (16 or less) as long as they are found in the given palette.
I understand that the number of colors may be less? And size may be less?
This made me lol:
"The artist may put him/herself in the image, but it's not a requirement."
That gave me the wrong impression the first time I read it :P.
It's a color/brightness-ramp map. Designing these is a good way of creating well balanced & efficient palettes. And once you have it - you can easily find all the best options for ramping and AA etc. for any given color(s).
I thought this would serve as a piece of education and inspiration for those pixelpushers that still has not been enlightened with the values of palette control.
