Starting March 1, In the spirit of a 'non-competitive-free-to-participate-in-almost-wannabe-fad event', Metaru wants you to wear different colored versions of your avatar, for every week in March.
You can either upload a new version of your avatar, edit your current avatar's preview to avoid uploading another one (if it's yours of course) or find an avatar in the gallery that fits the mood of your character.
Example:

the dates for each color scheme are as follows:
March 1-7: Yellow
March 8-14: Blue
March 15-21: Green
March 22~31: Red

alright made mine. the yellow one in mine is sort of greenish but I like it that way.
For some reason, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Super Smash Bros. because you can change your characters colors :P
I'll have to make another avatar before I participate. It just wouldn't work with a jack-o-lantern
@Jal, Metaru posted a journal on dA saying that he is fine (I assume we are talking about the earthquake here?).
I have clear ideas for red and I've already finished my blue. Green is confusing me though.
And here we go with the new avatar, it's already March over here in Europe 
Oh, by the way, thanks for swapping blue and green, the colour for Paddy's Day can only be green and nothing else.

Yellow has always been a tough color for me to work with. This is sorta a fun random event though.

and as long as magenta count's as both blue and red, i think i already have all colors handy =)
If you go to my favorites then you can find a bunch of avatars made by other people that you can use throughout the month. :>
Someone should edit the default avatar to fit with this event as well.

Just so people don't think their minds are playing tricks on them - I've swapped Blue and Green dates around.
Ill do it! Especially since I havnt posted anything in forever, and recolors are easy.
