If you are on the internets, you're most probably already wasting time. Chill out ><. Peace and love <3
I can't believe some of the reactions here o.O
My sentiments exactly... I mean srsly lighten up, people! It is April fools after all and since you all know what that is, I'd say it falls under the "fool me twice" category rather than "fool me once".
You all should have known better... I'm just kicking myself for not speaking up sooner >.<
...I could have had a gold star
don't think browsing through loads of pieces i hadn't seen before was a waste of time, though... else i'd just have done my work which really would've been a waste of time that day ^_^
I wasted my time on it and still found that sadisticly fun :þ
But yeah internet seems to be a serious business, wasting even one second of people's life is a serious crime there, even for an april's fool day.
I don't want to insult anyone but is it that hard really to trust no one on a single day out of 365? There is one day in a year people do these kinds of things, ONLY ONE. You have been warned beforehand that there will be pranks and the like and you still fall for them? I find that quite amusing. Not to mention that this is internet after all. This is kind of small thing compared to the vast possibilities Internet has to offer. You weren't Rickrolled so that you'd had to shut your browser and possibly lose some sites you had opened and you didn't have to see any goatse pictures or stuff like that.
Is Internet really this serious business to you? Or are you pulling a late April Fools on me and others?
Well that was insanely retarded! Way to waste everyone's time who actually participated in this. :/
THE CAKE WAS A LIE!
not funny, but ive got a hunch it would end up this way. . . .
Seems kind of pointless arguing about it. Some people enjoyed and some didn't and neither group is gonna change the other's mind. To those who felt it was mean-sprited or a waste of their time, I'm honestly sorry. It's difficult to avoid pissing some people off when genuine deception is involved (as opposed to something obvious like "pixeljoint is shutting down lol").
The very definition of a prank is a trick of malicious nature, so thank you for proving my point.
LULZ. I HAS SENSE OF HUMOR.
I told someone that we had a pop quiz in Science on April Fool's day and he started freaking out...
On the bright side, at least it got some people to check galleries and pieces they wouldn't have otherwise.
Like I said... never trust anybody on April 1st... never!
People actually thought it was something BESIDES a wild goose hunt?
april fools prank = spitting on the community
lolwut
Malice? If you let your guard down on april 1st and waste your precious time (more wisely invested elsewhere on the internet? if you thought this was a good way to spend an hour then this is the karma you reap for not reading a book or playing outside) on a wild goose chase, then I guess you'll know better next year. APRIL FOOLS L-O-L
*sneaks back to the secret mod room where we devise more ways to wrong and hurt the community*
I thought it was clever and not at all malicious. Basically, what Dr. D said.
Sorry, my mistake. Let the staff have a laugh at the people who made this site what it is today. Very respectful.
why should it be funny for everyone? I'm sure it was funny for them. I never knew april fool's had to be good-hearted fun.
This is more malicious than it is funny. Try being funny next year, or if this is as funny as you can be; don't even try.
Aaargh! Marquee, blink and comic sans? Are you trying to blind us!?
O noes this is in comic sans ;;
EDIT: The first thing I did when I got up was stumble out of bed, check out PJ, and then text Hatch to demand to know if it was all just to send people scurrying all over PJ for nothing. Good instincts? :D
Remember next time that if someone asks you to do something out of normal on April Fools, they are most likely pulling a prank on you. Local magazine does that each year here so I've gotten used to that and I don't do as they ask unless I'm bored.
It might have been stupid, but I wouldn't have expected it to be anything less for April Fools Day. I also wouldn't have expected my time to have been used meaningfully. =P
Besides, it's not like you were forced to do this; and the person that got it 'right' first still got their reward, as promised.
But damn you guys!
Awards go to Blaze Ace for hitting the nail on the head first.
And I'm going to give a bronze star to Petrichor for surprisingly making some sense out of a random assortment of italic letters - "play tr(i)ck"
An they actually did do the PJ shutting down thing a coupla years ago XD
