plenty of my favorite games use Up to Jump.  granted it's because they come from computers that only had one fire button on the joystick but still I've always quite liked it and if given the option i usually map jump to up if it doesn't get in the way of anything.

but given that you're a thwomp, and you jump around, the natural choice for said message would be to lead the user to discover whats beyond in a thwomp's existance besides crushing stuff, rather than just remove its main feature to force him to experience what seems to be a rather disabled character.

maybe a better setup would be to have the player the ability to crush stuff around, then by any given feature disable the character or even force him to use said ability in a more creatve way. right now it seems more like a child like, violence free version for the sake of censorship rather than to express a point(wich makes it utterly boring in the short term)

look at the thwomp's desing, it got spikes on its body and he's a giant block of solid sentient rock that gets killed by a flying bug. all you  have to defend your self is your agility, as a jumping block of rock. even in this fictional mario universe it just makes no sense.

also one of the things that bothered me and its also one of me most annoying desing flaws lies in the controls: why the fuck, on a bread and butter platformer like any other platformer ever made, you jump pressing up instead of using a button. thats completely counter-intuitive and also can completely get in your way when trying to perform certain jumps that require precise timing of the second jump while moving foward. is it that hard to code a button to jump? i doubt so.

there are a huge spectrum of things that either need to be fixed or learned from this game to be carried onto your next relase.

That's where reading comes into play.  It would have been a good feature to add if I had the skills or time, but that said, the whole point of the story is that there is more to being a Thwomp than crushing stuff.

i dont understand the point in being a thwomp and not being able to thwomp enemies.

Lots of results for that error message come up if you look on google.

Will this not run on Windows 2000 Pro?  I've tried to download it, but when I go to run it, I get a message:  The procedure entry point DdEntry1 could not be located in the dynamic link library GDI32.dll.

Of course!  I forgot to mention that so.... NOTICE!  You don't need the plugin if you download the game.

Carnivac (Level 8 Shodan) @ 2/21/2011 05:51

Surely you can just select Download to the right and down a bit on that page to not need the browser plugin at all and just have it on your computer where you like it.
