This intense action platformer game was just released by d-pad studios featuring beautiful pixel art from PJer Snake!
You can get it for PC at $1.99 HERE http://savantgame.com/ and on iOS and Android soon.
savant has got to be my favourite musical artist of all time however the ascent was one of the most disapointing games I've played in a while. sorry D-pad :( and sorry Aleksander.
Is this the same D pad studio that's making Owlbyo, or are there two D pad studios?
edit: nvm stupid question. Why aren't they busy finishing Owlboy D:
Beat Normal Mode with no deaths.
Hard Mode beaten.
I would wish for a "practice mode" - no scores get saved, you can not complete CDs, but you have unlimited continues.
Alright purchased and played.
I can understand that. I don't like country, I don't think I ever will.
For reference, my musical tastes are mostly late 80's early 90's New Wave, and punk rock from the 90's to the early 2000's.
*wonder whats new on P*... oh look another game... snake,... snake!? SNAAAAAAKEEE! *clicks trailer*...
o-o... °-°... °o°... *0*... *__*...
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Edit: Played it... it's... AWESOME. but hard. cool game. definitely worth the moneys.
I have a really bad case of not liking dubstep :'( Plenty of my friends like it (hell even my mom) but for some reason it just doesn't click with me. Maybe it's one of those things you learn to like after a while.
I think the dubstep actually added to the tension.
I don't listen to dubstep as stand alone music, but I think it really has the capability to make action scenes more action-y.
Loved the visuals but the dubstep wasn't reallying doing it for me. I really loved the music after he gets hit though!
Looks awesome.
Will play it soon.
Putting a small bit of elevator music in there would be a nice touch.
Maybe in the Options menu or something.
I didn't catch this at ALL! Thank you so much guys.
I'll be sure to upload some of the sprites so you can get a look at the work that went into it's production.
Amazing graphics, I'm waiting for some static mock-ups on PJ. I'd really like to have a closer look... :D
Anyway to disable scaling? The sweet arts are all horribly and unevenly stretched for me under wine.
That trailer music certainly was strange. A dubstep/techno/16bit combination. Plus the visuals looked pretty slick. Might have to buy it off the iOS, when it comes out.
Hot damn, they's some tasty arts!
EDIT: damn humble store (and everything else humble) is broken for me on linux. Got to figure out how to get this without booting into windows.
Looks awesome!
Looking forward to being to have it on my phone. :)
I'd love to hear your strategies! I finished story mode, now I try to get trough time attack but I only got to the first boss once. I hate that I have to do the first stage over and over which is so boring, and whatever I do the first stage always takes me 1.30 minutes... No scores get saved, I find golden pieces but they don't get added to the last disk, it is a bit demotivating atm!
EDIT:
I thought I'd give story another try. Beat Vario with 1 death and then tried normal again still looking for the last golden quarter.
Also what is a bit annoying is the last boss... It is simple and boring once you've got it figured out. The first boss always stays a bit of a challenge and is much more fun I think!
