The theme for this isometric collaboration is horror. Exteriors and Interiors rooms, halls, catacombs, labyrinths, sewers, tombs, sacrificial altars and anything that fits within the horror theme is OK. As for characters, vampires, mummies, zombies, ghosts, murderers, spiders, even aliens and OTT fantasy are OK as long as its scary!
Featuring Erstus' award winning 13 color palette.

Arpo78, go to the link above where the collab thread is. You reserve a tile there by leaving your comment and saying what tile #.
Is there a post somewhere that explanis these ISO collaborations? I've been to the page of this challenge but I don't quite understand it
I would like 27 but i'mnot sure if i can choose that one cuz i only see 5 reserved so i'd be the 6th?and if then can i choose 26?
Having a wide range of styles is what makes it really interesting to look at in the end.
This sounds very interesting but not sure if my kind of work would qualify.
Not talking about the ISO, talking about the style I normaly use that is less detailed then some other "awesome" artists that i've seen.
Emperor_Pixel, that's the whole idea. You reserve a tile> you post your WIP > others give you feedback >you update. That's exactly what we want to see happen so its collaborative and we all learn from each other. See previous collab threads and skim over the pages if you don't know how these things end up working. You pixel well enough that I can't imagine you being insecure :/
I want to join, but I'm kinda inseccure about screwing up on this :|
LuckyF, Of course. You can take iso and make it complex and organic and if would be great if everyone could do that. However, a lesser skilled PJer can leran so much by being someone's neighbor and being forced to step it up a little more than they otherwise would.
It's easy with blocky stuff. But when doing something more organic ... curves in 3 dimensions can get tricky.
Mr.Beast, these collabs are always iso because iso is easier on newer pixellers to attempt and less threatening to join more experienced artists and learn from them as a collaborative exercise. Additionally, someone has to help keep iso pixelart alive. Note that most 'general viewers' think of classic pixelart as iso and we as pixel nerds can be dismissive of iso which truly can be beautiful and a great way to get better at technique since perpective, lighting and other more advanced things are preset and constant.
Dat palette <3
Will try to join this iso collab... first time *meep*
Horror theme. Keen for semester to be over where I may hopefully find time.
why always ISO btw? Top down or side view should be just as possible and might even look better.
yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, this palette fits quite interestingly
Rydido, everything is explained in the first comment of the collab thread. You can view the previous challenge as see how they unfold too. You may also ask any question in the thread if something is unclear to you.
