Hello PJers. I'm an independent game developer, and pixel art fan, and I recently released a new game!

It's a mystery game done completely in pixel style that will put your deductive reasoning to the test.

Play it for free here:www.kongregate.com/games/Edylon/the-immigration-bureau.

Please check it out and leave comments. Thank you.

So, you're telling me that the way to progress the game is to memorize what the people around you say, and then regurgitate them at random dudes in the street that you don't recognize. Because apparently despite being a police officer we can't think of questions ourselves, and instead have to imitate the vague question-hooks offered to us by passerbys. All while learning about just exactly what the town's story is through said questioning, because apparently we don't know anything about this town until we start attempting to blend in with the populace.

I haven't played to the ending yet, but I'm betting that the twist will be that, no player you are the infiltrators, and then player was an infiltrator.

@Drazelic: You need to ask different questions to different people. Sometimes a useful dialogue option will come up, like "Where do you live?" and you can check the box to remember this question. Then you can suddenly ask "Where do you live" to someone else, with or without any context, and see if they respond. New people give you new dialogue options which you can use on different people.

Kids these days, with no patience to figure out new games... when I was a boy, I had to learn how to fly flight simulators without tutorials or manuals. And I didn't even speak English! And I had to ride a bicycle for the dynamo that generated power for my computer! If I slowed down, the computer shut down and all my progress was lost! Those were the days, Jack.

@ClownAround: Great game. Congrats on publishing it. You may want to check for typos and grammatical errors. I believe I saw a couple of no / know /  now mistakes. I.e. "I don't see why you need to now". And "Why a few months ago, there was neary a person who even heard of our town".

I've got no clue what I'm doing, I'm just clicking through all the options and then letting them go because I seriously cannot find anybody who says anything that's not one of the three or so canned response paths. I got /one/ 'infiltrator' guy, but that's about it, and I was so bored by the time I got to him I had no clue what I did to even catch him (I started taking to just randomly clicking the phones on people with no real thought process after like 20 people went by without me finding anyone) and overall I am super confused.

Some hints on how to progress the game would be nice...

Nice, questioning people out of the blue on the streets to see if they are well intergrated enough to be part of our society...  Didn't something like this recently happen in New York?
