Could we have a most inspiring/progressive/successful wip thread of the week to try and get people to really try on their wip threads or would that just be a silly idea for reasons I can't immediately think of but can feel in the back of my mind

Apologies, I was sort of stupid, i was worried i was approaching the limit of image i could have on imgur in the first thread and deleted some of them, apologies, but i'll make sure i keep all of the ones from the highlighted thread.
He made two threads about shields. In the first thread, all his images are gone. In the second thread, which you have linked to in this news article, the images have been present all along 
Oh noes. He must have deleted that today because it was all there yesterday.
The 'before' above is the first version he posted.
It's too bad the original thread doesn't show where AshCrimson really started. Because it makes the final result all the more impressive.

PJ would love it if there were a thread to highlight every week.
A good thread requires that the poster asks good questions be concise and that give and take happens.
A great thread requires that PJers c+c and be informative and helpful and that give and take happens.
A featured thread requires the above and the ability to help and teach, explain and inspire others just lurking and that the thread almost serves as a tutorial that serves all now and in the future.
I think this could something done on a weekly basis if at all possible.
THIS is why I check in on PJ every day: to see the work and dedication it takes to produce great art within limitation; to see skill and talent unfold through practice and a willingness to learn; and while I don't often focus these observations into "pixel-art" of my own, nevertheless it inspires me in other forms of artistic expression, and indeed all aspects of my life. Thank you Ash for the great work, and thanks Jalonso and the PJ community for fostering a great atmosphere and guiding all willing members towards greatness!
@Adarias, This is a regular PJ feature but this one is only the 2nd or 3rd time a thread like this has happened. We'd love to have more and more often but these just happen on their own.

Mr.Fahrenheit. That's a good idea. We are always looking for good forum threads worth sharing and pointing out. Having a schedule is forcing the issue and they seem to be best when they happen on their own time as they develop.
A WIP thread is where an artist is trying to solve a problem and we wouldn't want to throw in some kind of competition into these or even have competitive based threads.
Competition of any kind is disliked by many PJers but just as many are motivated and inspired by them. We have no problem with competitions of any kind so long at they are not the primary reason to express ones creativity.
