Pantone pixel art recreating famous works art and album covers
It's not the first time we've seen this idea though. Designer David Marsh made Pantone pixel art recreating famous album covers, which were so popular Scroobius Pip commissioned him to do the cover art for “Distraction Pieces”.

Then again, this goes back further than one might think, before Pantone even was a well know swatch, Salvador Dali made pixel art. The painting “Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea Which at Twenty Meters Becomes the Portrait of Abraham Lincoln (Homage to Rothko)” looks like Abraham Lincoln from twenty feet, but closer up it's a portrait of his wife.
