Hey Earthlings, April 22 is Earth Day. This one's a little more complex than usual, so make sure you're clear on the rules.
Pick one word from each of the categories shown below (environment, time, weather) and create a scene that depicts those three words (e.g. a forest scene at night, while it's raining).
To determine the exact amount of colours you can use, add up the numbers in the brackets. For example, if you pick forest/nighttime/raining, then you'd use exactly (2+2+1) 5 colours.
Environment:
Time:
Weather:
Canvas Size - Max 220 x 220.
Colours - Min 2; Max 8. See above for details.
Transparency - No.
Animation - Optional.
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
For me, picking palettes is the hardest part, so 8 colors will be tough to get right.
Also, is a forest in the background on a beach piece ok? Do I get the colors for that as well?
very interesting, with my combination i'm stuck with a 6 colour pallet which will be very difficult but will be fun to do!
Interesting challenge.
I'm thinking of doing the classic beach at sunset... But I dunno whether I'll pull it off again like with the Change of Mind challenge from a few weeks ago XD
Or at dusk, if you want macks clrz
Could probably do a mean NES-que mockup with these restrictions.
Wow! Interesting... Long time has passed since last time I participated in a weekly challenge, maybe I join this one...
I applaud the amount of thought in this challenge. The amount of colours for each component is correctly proportional to the difficulty of portraying the respective components
This time you are very strict about colors. :/ By the way, for the example the correct number of colors is 5 not 6, check it ;)
