given the lack of consistent graphic representation of those various Classical deities, any design you use would feel like an "original design" for practical use. AFAIK those rules are only in place to prevent lazy people from using modern, protected characters like Sonic or Megaman.
It'd be a bummer if it has to be original design, seeing as I already started on creating Helios.
