Pixel Art Challenge: Pimp My Pixel

icon

This is one of my first attempts at pixel art (circa 2001). As you can see, it's complete garbage.

Your task is to create your own version of the image - one that isn't garbage.

Canvas Size - Max 162 (width) x 142 (height).
Colours - Exactly 11.
Transparency - No.
Animation - No.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

I'm having a go at this with the original "palette". It's awful.

When pixel art meets Matisse.
I see an eel with a nose and a... brown stubble?

I'm having trouble even parsing what I'm looking at. Is that a mouth? A nose and chin?

Unless you wanted the extra "challenge" factor, lol.

You can use the colours from the original if you want, but it's completely optional.

In fact, I'd probably recommend not using those colours...
