Used those colors for our NES entry as they seem most accurate, though I took off the extra blacks https://lospec.com/palette-list/nintendo-entertainment-system
@Adarias - There are many conflicting "NES palettes" on the web. I wasn't sure if Wikipedia's colors were accurate after referencing screenshots from Mega Man 2 on Google. I noticed a lot of fan made palettes looked closer to NES screenshots than the Wikipedia one.
So I decided to just go with a palette that used the same algorithm YPbPr used to display colors on older TV's. Here's a link to that site and the color numerical color codes: www.thealmightyguru.com/Games/Hacking/Wiki/index.php
Sorry for any confusion.
Given the NES's use of YPbPr, and knowing what browsers can do to images, is there any chance we can get cannonical RGB values for this challenge?
In particular I'm curious about the final light grey, which i'm seeing as quite pink (#f8d8f8)
@Airstyle - the blacks are both the same. The two whites are slightly different.
Is everyone aware that black colors on the right of the palette have the exact same values? I thought it was weird since the whites, which look so VERY close to each other, still have their own distinct values. Should the black pixels be different, or is one of them just filler for the image?
This is something for me...minimal work for a challenge...this satisfys my laazy butt.
Got it. $3D as a chalky pink still seems plainly wrong, but I guess I can avoid that color ;).
