I think the eyes are a bit too close to one another.

Sorry but each time I see a Boba Fett looking right, with knees bent :)

Can't get enough of them. I guess this one has a Iron Maiden and/or Red Sector Megademo inspiration, but the color choice for the gradient, the lightning and the droplets give it a unique personality. I guess font art was a great school at the time.

I understand the interest of using a preset palette, but I find the close ground too... radioactive.

My only critic is that the shading looks good on details, but overall it doesn't help defining the shape. It's a bit like the "highlights" spot lights in real life, they are used to provide a sharp highlight on surfaces that hit the light perpendicularly, but if there's no other light source, other surfaces are lost in shadows.

Haha, this suffers a bit from the symmetry, but it's otherwise very sharp and badass.

This is the second eye scar in the mustachallenge.

I thought it was Legolas

I think the confusing part is that he wears his cap "sideways" when looking down, but the two diagonal views have it mirrored, as if he was wearing it straight.

Hah, right from the pattern-dithering in the preview, I knew this would be from an 'old-timer' :)

Lovely shape and it has character, but I'd lighten a lot the palette, add a bit of contrast to it. Your blue is invisible when not zoomed in.

Lollige: ? This part is true. With an strict isometric projection, there is no horizon line, so you can't show the sky as you would in a thirst-person point of view.

I don't know... the solid flesh color seems to eat all space, as if it was on a closer plane than the rest.

Workbench icon don't use double-height pixels, but half-width pixels :) In the sense that 640x256 is better than 320x256.

I'm dropping the scratchboard idea, it's already possible to do it by grabbing the background as a brush, activating the 'Tiling' effect, and then drawing with any monochrome brush. And with layers (in progress) it's even easier.

It would reveal the pixels from the spare. It would only use the shape of your brush, not its colors.

Thanks Setzer that's it! I was considering a similar effect for Grafx2, but couldn't find an evocative name for it.

Hmm anybody knows how is called, in traditional arts, the kind of "scratch card" that allows you to draw white on black ? It's made of very solid white cardboard, coated in black, and you use a thin point to scratch the surface.

I recognized it instantly, although I didn't see the cartoons for so many years!

It's not easy to convey the feeling of abnormal inactivity with a simple static image.

The following script switches the PJ image background between black and normal transparent. It's possible to use it as a bookmark (instead of copy-pasting in address bar), but I suppose the better method would be to make a greasemonkey script to insert a button for it in the page, next to the - + buttons...

Javascript:(function(){if (ducument.getElementById("mainimg").style.backgroundColor=="transparent") ducument.getElementById("mainimg").style.backgroundColor="black"; else ducument.getElementById("mainimg").style.backgroundColor="transparent";}());

(The comment window "neutralizes" the script. Anyway, you get the idea...)
